~ About Us ~

The Harrow Street Quartet came together on a quiet corner of Harrow Street, where four musicians from different backgrounds discovered they shared the same passion for storytelling through sound. What started as late-night jam sessions in a converted loft soon grew into a group dedicated to reimagining jazz as both timeless and forward-looking. Their goal is simple yet ambitious: to honor the roots of the genre while weaving in fresh cultural influences that speak to today’s audiences. Together, they strive to create music that not only entertains, but also connects communities through rhythm, melody, and soul.

~ Julian Price ~

Julian fell in love with the saxophone after hearing his grandfather’s old jazz records spin on a crackling turntable. Drawn to the instrument’s ability to mimic the human voice, he uses every note to tell a story. For Julian, the saxophone is not just music it’s conversation. His goal within the quartet is to be the voice that bridges tradition and innovation, carrying the listener on a journey from classic swing to modern expression.

~ Grant Holloway ~

Grant’s musical journey began with classical piano lessons as a child, but his world shifted when he stumbled upon the improvisational freedom of jazz. He was inspired by the idea that the piano could be both orchestra and playground. In the quartet, Grant provides harmonic texture and rhythmic drive, always pushing boundaries while grounding the group in melodic sophistication. His goal is to make each performance feel like a dialogue between past masters and present possibilities.

~ Leilani Cruz ~

Leilani grew up surrounded by island rhythms and family gatherings where music was at the center of every celebration. Drawn to the upright bass for its grounding, resonant voice, she found inspiration in how a single note could hold a whole group together. In the quartet, she acts as the glue, balancing subtlety with strength. Her goal is to give the music a heartbeat that audiences can both feel and remember long after the final note.

~ Colin Reeves ~

Colin’s love for percussion started at a school talent show, where he first sat behind a drum kit and realized he could shape the heartbeat of a room. Inspired by both rock legends and jazz greats, Colin developed a style that is powerful yet precise, always listening as much as he leads. His goal in the group is to create rhythms that not only support but also challenge his bandmates, keeping every performance alive and unpredictable.
